Publications on Men Who Have Sex With Men (MSM)

In this module, participants learn and practise the skills necessary to work with their clients to promote and encourage behaviour change. This will include exploring their own attitudes and beliefs in order to reflect on how these may influence their work with clients, both positively and negatively.

This review aims to inform and strengthen Kathmandu’s municipal HIV and rights responses for these vulnerable key populations. Government and community leaders were crucial to the review process as they provided valuable inputs that informed the recommendations.

The toolkit contains all the information needed to conduct a comprehensive gender analysis. However, in recognition that programs may want to conduct a more streamlined analysis, key steps can be found on pages 7-16. Each step can be streamlined based on time, resources, and information available for a gender analysis.

This is the first round of IBBS surveys among MSM/TG of Pokhara Valley and carried out under the leadership of National Center for AIDS and STD Control (NCASC) with financial and technical support from Save the Children-Global Fund.

The Global Fund New Funding Model (NFM) is an opportunity for the community to get engaged meaningfully in country processes for a robust grant. Specifically, this report aims to look at and gather the experiences and level of participation of the MSM and Transgender community in the Philippines (New) Funding Model project development process.

The Linkages Across the Continuum of HIV Services for Key Populations Affected by HIV (LINKAGES) project envisions a world in which members of key populations (KPs)—gay men and other men who have sex with men (MSM), sex workers (SWs), people who inject drugs (PWID) and transgender people—can exercise their right to live healthy and productive lives.

The manual was developed to provide planners and managers working with HIV men who have sex with men (MSM) programme prevention and support services with the necessary information to develop sympathetic, evidence-based and comprehensive HIV prevention and support services for MSM in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. The resource is useful to both experienced programme implementers as well as those who are beginning to plan new HIV prevention and care services for MSM.

Kauntim mi tu, an integrated bio-behavioural survey (IBBS) of women and girls who sell and exchange sex (from here on referred to as FSW), and men who have sex with men and transgender women (from here on referred to as MSM/TG), was conducted to support the scale-up of essential HIV prevention and treatment services for these populations.

This manual provides technical information and practical tools for peer educators to use as part of MSM outreach programmes in the Middle East and North Africa. These programmes aim to reduce the spread of HIV and other sexually transmitted infections (STIs) among MSM within a framework and context where their privacy, confidentiality and rights are respected.

This review of HIV and rights-based programmes for men who have sex with men and transgender people was undertaken in Thimphu, Bhutan through a partnership between the Ministry of Health, the Royal Government of Bhutan and the United Nations Development Programme.
