This Regional Data Overview presents regional data on sex work that is available as it pertains to HIV epidemiology, risk behaviours and vulnerability factors.

-The first HIV case was detected in 1988. The key populations are as follows:
 People who inject drugs (PWID)
 Sex workers and their clients (Male and Female)
 Men who have Sex with Men (MSM) and transgender people
 Male Labor Migrants and their wives
 Prison Inmates
- Heterosexual transmission is dominant
- HIV prevalence among adult population in the country is below 1%

The 2013 surveillance findings indicate a continuing high-level HIV epidemic among IDU in Cebu Province and expanding epidemics among MSM and FFSW.

This Prakas is aimed at regulating employers of entertainment service enterprises, establishments and companies to properly and comprehensively implement the Labour Law.

This paper addresses the sexual and reproductive health (SRH)—including HIV prevention, care and treatment — and other health service needs of adolescents aged 10 – 17 engaged in selling sex in the Asia Pacific region.

2007, research study by TUC for accessing the feasibility of methodology for hidden population in Bangkok and Chiang rai. 2011, transferred to MOPH for strengthening the surveillance system among hidden population in 3 tourist provinces (Chiang mai, Chonburi and Phuket). 2013, MOPH expanded to Bangkok, Nakorn-rachasrima, and Rachburi.

This tool is the product of collaboration among sex workers, service providers, researchers, government officials and nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) from around the world, as well as United Nations agencies, and development partners from the United States.

Pacific Island countries and territories (PICTs) are diverse; political regimes, cultural norms and languages vary widely. The forms of sex work undertaken across the Pacific are as diverse as the social, economic and political contexts in which they are situated.

A better understanding of gender-based violence among men who have sex with men, male sex workers, and transgender populations is necessary in order to develop clear and targeted recommendations for future interventions targeting this issue.
