In December 2007 the International Harm Reduction Association (IHRA) produced a major report on the death penalty for drug offences. That report, entitled The Death Penalty for Drug Offences: A Violation of International Human Rights Law, provided a detailed review of the use of capital punishment for drug offences worldwide and argued that the application of the death penalty for drugs was in violation of international law.
