The 2006/2007 Solomon Islands Demographic Health Survey (2006/2007 SIDHS) is a nationally representative survey of 3,823 women aged 15–49 and 2,056 men aged 15–54. The 2006/2007 SIDHS is the first for the country and one of the four DHS conducted in Pacific as part of the ADB/SPC Pacific Demographic and Health Surveys Pilot Project. The primary purpose of the SIDHS is to furnish policy-makers and planners with detailed information on fertility, family planning, infant and child mortality, maternal and child health and nutrition, and knowledge of HIV and AIDS and other sexually transmitted infections.

![]() | The 2006 Nepal Demographic and Health Survey (NDHS) is the seventh in a series of demographic surveys conducted in the country and is the third survey conducted as part of the worldwide Demographic and Health Surveys (DHS) program. The survey was conducted under the aegis of the Population Division of the Ministry of Health and Population and implemented by New ERA. Technical support for the survey was provided by Macro International Inc., and financial support was provided by the United States Agency for International Development through its mission in Nepal. ![]() | The 2004 Bangladesh Demographic and Health Survey (2004 BDHS) is a nationally representative survey of 11,440 women age 10-49 and 4,297 men age 15-54 from 10,500 households covering 361 sample points (clusters) throughout Bangladesh, 122 in urban areas and 239 in the rural areas. This survey is the fourth in a series of national-level population and health surveys conducted as part of the global Demographic and Health Surveys (DHS) program. It is designed to provide data to monitor the population and health situation in Bangladesh as a followup to the 1993- 1994, 1996-1997 and 1999-2000 BDHS surveys. The survey utilized a multistage cluster sample based on the 2001 Bangladesh Census and was designed to produce separate estimates for key indicators for each of the six divisions of the country—Barisal, Chittagong, Dhaka, Khulna, Rajshahi and Sylhet. The 2002-2003 Indonesia Demographic and Health Survey (IDHS) is a nationally representative survey of 29,483 ever-married women age 15-49 and 8,310 currently married men age 15- 54. The main purpose of the 2002-2003 IDHS is to provide policymakers and program managers with detailed information on fertility, family planning, childhood and adult mortality, maternal and child health, and knowledge of and attitudes related to HIV/AIDS and other sexually transmitted diseases. |

The 2002 Vietnam Demographic and Health Survey (VNDHS 2002) is a nationally representative sample survey of 5,665 evermarried women age 15-49 selected from 205 sample points (clusters) throughout Vietnam. It provides information on levels of fertility, family planning knowledge and use, infant and child mortality, and indicators of maternal and child health. The survey included a Community/ Health Facility Questionnaire that was implemented in each of the sample clusters. Download this publication |
